How I Add Value

My aspirations

I am an organizational and leadership coach passionate about supporting people and organizations developing and implementing change, whether this means helping new managers find focus in their new role or helping more experienced leaders to shift their ways of thinking.

I find that organizational change requires not only skillful change management but also strong and authentic leadership. I believe that the value we add when working with other people increases when we stay curious, access and accept our own ignorance, and stay humble and truly curious about both others and ourselves.

I aspire to help people to find their growth edge, by working with them from where they are to become more explorative and prioritize a learning focus over immediate results, as they develop and implement new ways of thinking and working together.

My coaching philosophy

To me coaching is a partnership where we work on stimulating and facilitating change through a balance between support and challenge. I do not pretend to come with a ‘quick fix’ for either people or organizations, but I am genuinely concerned about how to enable growth and development of people and their organizations.

We work together on bringing awareness to what is in the here-and-now, exploring what is important to get closer to an understanding of how we meet (or don’t meet) our needs.

My experience

I often coach as part of leadership development in organizations, typically in connection with organizational change. I coach people who want development and growth, for themselves and their organizations, whether that is leaders entering new management levels, leaders driving change processes, or leaders being influenced by change in general.

I have spent 16+ years as a manager and internal, as well as external, consultant in big public sector organizations in Denmark, where I have had different managerial roles myself and worked with leaders leading change. My primary field of expertise is public welfare services, especially health care and social services.

I  work as a senior management consultant in a management consultancy firm, Connector A/S, helping organizations via strategizing and implementing change, supporting managers and management groups in their leadership. I have a certificate in Organizational and Leadership Coaching from Northwestern University.

I apply my expertise in my coaching practice, working with leaders who are leading organizational change as they strive to solve the ‘wicked problems’ of a growing population, changing expectations, and a shrinking work force. As I continue to develop my coaching abilities, I strive to help those faced with challenges to develop their capabilities to work with similar challenges themselves in the future.
